While  the more distinct features the better, is this not approximable
using IMMSGEXP? Given average spam volume per day per account, you can
expire  messages  from  the  spam mailboxes after n days, which can be
assumed equivalent to a rough size estimate (as the size range of spam
messages is a lot smaller than that of legit messages).
