I often receive alerts from our Symantec Mail Security for SMTP server that
Hotmail's mail servers won't accept the message and that it will continue
trying for 1 more day. Often I then receive a reply back the next day that
the message failed to be delivered.

We have no idea why because reverse DNS lookups on our domain and working,
and we have the SPF information setup in DNS as well, so any checks that
Hotmail are doing should work.

I'd also like to hear if anyone knows why this could happen?

Thanks,

Chris

Subject: [IMail Forum] OT: Is Hotmail like AOL?

Hi Everyone -

Has anyone else had any problems sending to Hotmail addresses. It starts
out getting a message that delivery has been "delayed", and that it will
keep trying for a day or two. Then a day or two later I will get a message
that says it was undeliverable.

I need to note that this is from a web form, and does not go through Imail.
Perhaps MSN doesn't like where it is coming from, and if so why are they
telling me that they are trying to deliver?

Thanks for any thoughts!

Todd
