All checked.  I called Microsoft priority support and of course they know nothing of Imail, but they guy did try and help.  He said that IIS was configured properly, but it was his opinion that Imail 2006 is not compatible with the latest version of MDAC.  I have MDAC 2.8 SP2 on my server.  He believes that Imail would have run up until MDAC 2.8 SP1, but not on SP2.

Guess what?  You can't remove MDAC 2.8 SP2.

So at this point in time it does not appear that Imail is compatible with the latest MDAC, or the Microsoft guy was wrong.  He was not positive regarding his position, but like I said he did try to help.  He had me load other .asp files and they would run, but not the Imail Iadmin .asp files.

Very frustrating to say the least!!

Sounds like a security problem to me; 2003 Server is quite particular. Check your web services extensions.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Imail 2006 upgrade nightmare!

I decided to try and go forward with the 2006 upgrade today.  Nothing has worked as planned (of course).

First problem is that Imail won't activate my license.  Even the manual process doesn't work.  But this is not my major problem.

Big problem is trying to run Iadmin.  The Iclient runs fine, but when I try and run Iadmin I get the following error:

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/iadmin/includes/ApplicationContext.asp, line 173

800401f3

Server is running Windows 2003 Server.  Very stable box.

I can log on to the web client just fine and everything seems to work, but I really need to access iadmin to configure the system!

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I've run the setup at least 4 times with varying results.
