Hi,
Webmail now goes through IMAP?
That sounds like a bad design decision. The kind of design a novice would
choose (clean and architecturally pure but totally flawed from a
performance/scalability perspective).
More webmail software is going this way as it makes it possible to have the
cpu intensive websoftware run from a different system or even several
different systems. The mailserver system can then be optimized for
mail/disk-performance.
