Which AV(s) are you running? and have disabled scanning of .pdf's in
Declude?

Some outbound and sometimes they never leave the server. I have seen
corruption between the imail and the gateway which are on the same lan
segment.

What about the firewall?
1. If you send from one account to another on Imail doe sit come out ok?
2. Or is it all outbound mail PDF attachments only?

The only common denominator is Imail\Declude at this point. I
have had PDFs
from copy machines become corrupt and messages email from outside. The
receiving client is sometimes Lotus Notes, Outlook Express, Outlook 2000,
Some messages have been dropped by our Symantec mail gateway due to a
malformed message after leaving Imail but the local recipients opened the
message and PDF without a problem.

WHat client is generating the message with the attachment... anything
that could be a common denominator here?

Thsnks for the suggestion,
Not a loop back issue here. Our mail server and gateway are on the same
network outside the corporate firewall, and behind our internet
firewall. I
have only had complaints about PDF files.
Our gateway throws this message
The message is malformed. and drops it.
Only happens when a PDF is attached. Also if the message make it
through and
the PDF is opened they get a corruption error.

Are your users and mail server on the same internal network? I
had a MAJOR
problem with all attachments randomly getting corrupted. Changing
my pop and
smtp settings to my mail server's internal IP address fixed it (by
eliminating a loopback). Hope that makes sense??

My users seem to be receiving more and more PDF attachments. It
seems that
more an more of them are being corrupted. Is any one else out
there having
this issue.
The corruption only seems to happen when IMail sends the message
outbound to
our gatewayed domains.
