Interesting  question for New Years Eve. Putting together your New Years
resolutions? :-)

Addressing your question, sure, scheduling a application specific backup
with  a  utility  that  knows  what  bits  to  back  up  would always be
considered a plus.

Added functionality would be filenames with the timestamp imbedded and a
retain the last N backups option.
