Grant,
Does your app create any windows? Try setting SMTPD32 to run interactive
with the desktop. Use the NT services control panel in the startup settings
(not at an NT box right now or I'd give you the exacts). Then start and stop
the server and run your test. This should show if your app is trying to
start a window.
