True, that's a different discussion. I agree totally, but I do believe that
will be changing soon. The transition away from Scott hurt them
tremendously. Coinciding with architectural changes in message handling
with IMail was a recipe for disaster.

Even maintaining the status quo yields an extremely good solution for us,
but I do have a laundry list of requests for them. I'm giving them a little
more time to stabilize the 3.0 product before I start clamoring for items on
the list.

Darin.

Ah, but the real issue is no improvement in the product in over a year and
the recent updates have not been stable.

While the way information was delivered to the customer base caused a lot of
understandable confusion and concern, Declude has more than come through.

Barry at Declude went overboard to address issues and has given very good
deals to existing customers to upgrade to higher versions at a much lesser
cost than was previously possible. They have also guaranteed all customers
that they will be able to continue with the current licensing and support
models. In the end this exercise has benefited Declude customers
significantly.

Declude handled the situation much better than the previous IMail fiascos,
that thankfully Kevin G here has made great strides in reducing the effects
of.

Darin.

We are planning on moving to SmarterMail + Postini when our svc contract is
up.

Anyone considering Declude should read the Declude mailing lists -- starting
to sound like Imail except time-shifted a bit.

With the current state of Imail 2006, I may be right behind you. I have
been a supporter since it rolled out, but ti is getting tough answering the
same questions all of the time. The last talk I had with the boss was to
get it working or else.

When you have your new server up, would you mind sharing some details, maybe
even a test account so that I can see how it runs? I know it's a lot to
ask, but so is finding another job - I am taking the lesser of two evils.

It's been fun running Imail (since 1995) and being on this listserv
(since 2004) but we are moving on. Will be migrating to SmarterMail +
Declude.

Besides purchasing direct from both can anyone recommend a lower cost
vendor like you can do with IMail at CDW?
