AOL also has a method for admins of mail servers to
get "Dynamically Whitelisted" just for this very problem. I don't have the URL
handy but I'd check the archive as I know it's been talked about here
before

What happens when a user is just using aliases

Kill forwarding to AOL. We've modified the
templates and place "Do not forward to AOL" in the form. We also wrote
some code I posted last week that changes all forward.ima files to
main.fwd which allows rules to be applied. Not a great fix since we have
to run that once a week but it works for now. It's a hack at this point
but you do what you have to do. Since AOL is still an 800 lb gorilla we
have to put up with this but I'm saving as many AOL customers as I can by
switching them to anyone else due to their spam policy.

Guys,
I've had an rapid increase in [EMAIL PROTECTED] reports stating that spam
is coming from my imail server to AOL. I've also received emails from [EMAIL PROTECTED] in regards to our spam
percentage going over the threshold. I've done some investigation and it
seems that email is being forwarded via aliases to aol. AOL is
determining that the spam is originating from our mail server when is
fact this is not true. I am just wondering what you guys are doing to
combat this? I'm running Imail 8.05 but i will be crossgrading to the
newest imail secure version.
Thanks,
