Thats kinda like saying you want to call a web server remotely. In order
to 'talk' to it you have to 'speak' the correct protocol.

You  could  Telnet to your MTA and talk SMTP but its easier to use a MUA
to do it for you. If you can find a lightweight one that doesn't require
a  lot  of registry bloat you might be able to run it from a file server
and not have to install it everywhere.
