Whether you "install" a mail component, or use a command line utility that you "install" by copying the file to the server, you have to have _something_ that talks SMTP and references an SMTP server you have elsewhere on your network if you don't want one locally.

I don’t want to install a mailer on all of my servers, I would prefer just being able to send one email from each server.  Is there another way to do this without installing software on each server?

Ahh   IMail1 has to be run locally on the server... It will not work running on a different machine..  There are many standalone command line senders that you can use   Blat is one that comes to mind

I am trying this and nothing is happening.  I am using the KB as an exact example of what I am doing only I have a different from and to user.   Sometimes a oddly named file is created, but nothing is ever mailed and nothing is actually even logged in the SMTP log.  The machine calling the imail1.exe is in the allowed IPs, yet nothing.  Any ideas?

How do I send a command line email to just one alias?
