Hi Dan -

A much more cost effective option than packeteer might be a Cisco
3550/3560 along with PRTG Enterprise Edition, which can accept netflow
stats.  You can use the Cisco for your routing, rate limiting, QoS, ACLs
and use PRTG for reporting.

I still think it would be helpful if you could describe your overall
objectives in terms of the business impact you're seeing on your network
and what you hope to be able to accomplish because it sounds like you
are trying to potentially kill several birds with one stone, and I
believe you will pay a large premium for a product that can do it all.

Thanks for your responses.  I like the Packeteer for its functionality,
but not for its price.  However we need what we need, and I will be
looking into them.  I wish we could purchase one from Ebay, but that's
not likely to happen.
