John,
I've been researching this lately and I have found Acronis True Image Server
9.1 to be very intriguing. I'm still testing it but you might want to check
it out. You can download a trial. Acronis.com

Subject: [IMail Forum] Way OT: Imaging software

Other that Symantec Ghost, does any one have recommendations for
drive/partitioning imaging software?

Needs are to be able to boot to a floppy or CD and make an image of a drive
and/or partitions to a USB drive for backup and for workstation syspreped
images. Ability to see RAID1 volumes (either SCSI or SATA) by adding
appropriate drives is a big plus.

Up to this point, I have been using an older version of Ghost. New versions
do not have the ability to create floppies to boot to (that I can see) and
the Enterprise licensing is outrageously overpriced for what I need to do.
