I don't know if this survey announcement was a joke or serious one, but my serious answers are the following:

Spam??? What is it? I haven't had to deal with spam since (a year ago) I switched the spam (and virus) filtering of our 80 employee architect firm to Postini for

$1.65 per mailbox per month,
Free Support,
Free 200MB emergency spooling space (when your server is down), (fail over server)
99.9% accuracy,
10% off if you sign a year long contract,

(we pay only $1425 for 80 email users per year for the whole enchilada and our spam and email virus problems are history.)

Do the math yourself in your scenario and see.

I am still using Imail v 8.15 on a plain vanilla Athlon 1GHz PC with two IDE hard drives, where the CPU usage barely goes above 30% a few times a day, not mentioning how satisfied our architects are since I switched to Postini:

Email server downtime is 0% percent,

When our whole company was out of power for one whole day and when the power came back, all messages that were sent to us while we were down, were unspooled from the Postini email server to ours and we didn't loose any messages.

Now I am also considering collecting all incoming and outgoing messages in one mailbox for daily archive purposes, now I can do that because only legitimate messages will be archived.

The main technical reason for me to switch to Postini was, that Postini filters spam and virus for thousands of companies in the US and because of the amount of email/spam stream that they receive is a lot better source for finding spam than our 80 employee email server, it was a no brainer decision.

By the way, if you want to give Postini a free try, call 901-542-4270 and ask for Joseph Taylor, he is my Postini vendor and a nice and honest fellow: http://www.spam-x.com/

I think, if you are an email admin for an end user company (not an ISP), this could be a great solution for you, Postini might also be good for ISPs too, but since I am not one of them, I don't have a clue whether it is or isn't.

Geza

P.s.: I have been receiving Imail forum messages every day and glance the titles through each morning but 99.9% at a time.
I delete most messages a month later because most if not all problems that have been discusses are no longer a concern for me.
