That is the direction I am leaning towards. My concern, if it is valid, is by lowering the sensitivity of the UPS, is that putting the servers at risk?

I have gotten $500 jobber from Lowes Hardware. We powered 2-monsert UPSs (powered 8 servers for 3 hours before we needed the generator) and a few workstations and the phone system.
THe one thing I would recommend is to test it all out first. We had to reduce the sensitivty of the APC UPSs in order for them to run off of the generator as the power wasn't always super clean. We also had a plug installed on the outside of the building to the generator could be rolled up, and fired up, plugged into the wall. ON the inside the servers could be plugged into a junction box/cable and all was ok. Once that was taken care of, we ran ogg generator for an additional 2-days.
Regards,
Travis
