Subject: Re: [IMail Forum] 2006.1 Installation problem
Ted:
The asp extensions are mapped to asp.dll and asp.dll resides where it's looking for it. I do, however, get the "file not found" error when browsing login.asp from within the IIS admin console.
The files were indeed delivered to the correct place...
My site settings are pointing to the correct place... I can access "iclient" without issue...
This is pretty weird, really. I've been through some of your suggestions already to no avail. Do you have any other ideas?
Thanx for the response...

By the way... I hope you don't mind the double spacing. I'm using
Imail's web client.... Looks like that problem didn't get fixed in 2006.1
either, eh?
Gil,
Some of the issues which can cause what you are seeing are as follows:
1) asp extensions are not mapped to any dll (if .03 was working, this is not likely) If you can open the Iadmin virtual directory in the IIS console and see the login.asp file, then right click and select browse. If you still get page not found this is likely your problem. It that happens, select properties on the site ( in the IIS console) which hosts your iadmin virtual directory and go to the home directory tab. Check that Application Name is not grayed out(if so click the create button) and check the configuration button mappings tab. Verify that .asp is in the list and points to asp.dll.
2) Files got delivered to the correct place. Check your virtual directory in IIS and verify that you can see the login.asp file.
3) Your site settings are pointing to the wrong place (IP, port, host headers) (again if this was working in .03 this is not likely)
There may be other possible issues but those are the most common.

problem
I've just spent an hour listening to Ipswitch's soothing hold music. I finally left a message. Tech support IS available on Fridays... isn't it?
This is a 2006.03 to 2006.1 upgrade. I cannot access the iadmin login.asp file via the browser as I'm getting a "page not found' error. This feels vaguely familiar and I believe I've been through this before. Anyone have a simiilar misadventure? Any answers? Should I call Ipswitch back???
-Gil
