[EMAIL PROTECTED] is a conventional user
with a physical mailbox. No forwards, no
aliases.
The domain limit is 10
MB and the user mailbox max size is also set to 10
MB.
This is with external DB
& Declude security suite & message sniffer.
Do you (or anyone)
have any old snippets from 8.22 to show the SMTP session log for an
incoming message rejected during the SMTP receive for full
mailbox?

Is [EMAIL PROTECTED] an alias for either a
group or another user?
When I was
running 8.22, I know that during the SMTP receive process (SMTPD) Imail will
reject the message at the very end of the session if the message is too
large or the mailbox is full.
Does the user
have a lower limit than the domain on either mailbox or per
message?

Here's the full session log for
that message that shows creation of the bounce message. I cannot
find anything in the 8.22 manual that talks about this or how to suppress
the bounce message on oversize mailboxes or to be able to check mailbox size
during the SMTP delivery process. -

Trouble with SpamCop
Mike, you are not understanding
something.
If the mailbox of a local user exceeds it's configured
limits, Imail will
REJECT the incoming message during the receive
session. There is no bounce
message created. End of story!
You are
either doing something wrong or these are messages that are being
forward
somewhere and that mailbox is full.
Please provide the full specific
bounce message including headers and the
information for your server so
we can show you what is wrong and why this is
happening.
