Hi,

This issue was already discussed a several times here. Moving an old
installation from Imail to a new server is easy.

1 - Install Imail on you new server. The installation process wants, that
one domain should be added. Use your IP-Domain.
2 - Stop all Imail servives on your new machine.
3 - Export the registry data "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail\Domains" from you
old machine.
Note: If you want to transfer all imail settings from your old machine, you
can export "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\Imail". All settings are compatible
between all versions of Imail. Newer versions have more settings.
4 - Import the registry data on your new machine.
5 - Copy the Imail-data (hosts/mailboxes) from the old machine to the new
one.
6 - Start the services
7- Relax and Check the logs. Try to send/receive an email.

I assume, that the directory structure is exactly the same on both machines.
If not, eg. The Host are somewhere else, you have to edit the registry dump
before you import the data.

We processed this many many times migrating from Imail 7.*/8.* to 8.*/2006.*
without any problems.

Hope this helps.
