Update based on today's results:
There were 1,375 files in the spool directory. Upon restarting the queue
manager, the number of files in the directory dropped to 900 within 2
minutes. Restarting the qm again brought the number of files down to
700+-. Restarting it a third time brought it down to 565.
Outgoing email is going out.. It just seems to go out much faster after
each restart..
We're running imail 8.15.
In our imail/spool directory, we have 100's, (sometimes even up to 2,000)
files (.smd's .gse's, etc). If i restart the imail queue manager, the
number of files will drop quickly (within a couple of minutes) by 25% or
more, then will start to climb again.. If i again restart the service,
i've noticed the number of files dropping even further..
Can someone 'splain me pls what's behind what i'm observing ??
