Hi Dan, I know of the logs in the windows 2000 server, but I presume this SMTP log is different? Where do I find the SMTP log for I-mail server?

The WHY each failed is what's interesting. Look in the SMTP logs for the attempts (any of the 20 will do, but check serveral to see if it's always the same reason). It may be the receiving SMTP engine is greylisting you or in some way putting hints to you in the log. For example, this message was requeued after the receving server said it didn't like my IP: Excerpt from my SMTP log: processing C:\IMail\spool\Q38ac19f40070e897.SMD sender <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> recip is <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [x] looking up bellsouth.net in HOSTS and MX [x] looking up bellsouth.net in HOSTS and MX closed C:\IMail\spool\_38ac19f40070e897.~MD - 1 R<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - 1 [x] doing direct send bellsouth.net Trying bellsouth.net (0) [x] Connecting socket to service <SMTP> on host <bellsouth.net> using protocol <tcp> [x] using source IP for mail.caravansheet.com [172.30.0.15] 421 ibm44aec.bellsouth.net connection refused from [74.254.46.165] SMTP_DELIV_FAILED >QUIT [u] closing socket (u) R<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - 4 R<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> - 4 requeuing C:\IMail\spool\Q38ac19f40070e897.SMD R0 T10 finished C:\IMail\spool\Q38ac19f40070e897.SMD status=3 That's not a lot of help, but since that IP address is used to send a 25,000 member newsletter, bellsouth.net has probably triggered some sort of automatic doodad (technical term) to restrict the inflow for some period. Hopefully, you'll see far more helpful messages from the refusing servers. Please share with the list what your SMTP logs show. After the installation I notice that I am getting alot of: "Delivery failed 20 attempts:" to a variety of emails which have always worked in the past. Can anybody give me any ideals where to troubleshoot? bibres12 is my laptop going through a satilite connection and bibres-server is the server with the Imail server software.
