Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] 2006.2 Web Client and SMTP Proxy

Please explain exactly how ASSP works?

Declude, MXGaurd and I am sure there are some others work perfectly fine
with the current version.

If what you said is true, ASSP sounds more like a incoming gateway rather
than a actual product that works with Imail via the 3rd party hand off in
the SMTPD32 service.

ASSP is an (A)nti-(S)pam (S)MTP (P)roxy that you place in the incoming stream of mail. It works with any MTA, not just Imail. It processes the email before Imail gets it, similar to a gateway but does not do store and forward so is not a gateway. If Imail is down, ASSP will not be able to receive the email. It is a Proxy.

or http://assp.sourceforge.net/ for more information.
