Until now I've never had issues with running Trend's Client/Server for
SMB on the same box with IMail, but recently I installed Trend on a
customer's IMail 2006 box and things went south. Sending through IMail
is intermittant with frequent errors on the client machines stating that
the mail server disconnected. Disabling the Trend client doesn't help.
Trend doesn't have an answer yet as to what is in Trend that could cause
this, so wondering if anyone is running this combination. It bothers me
a little because Trend products have for the longest time been one of
the least likely AV/AS apps to interfere with other apps.
