I have run http://www.hmailserver.com/ and http://imgate.meiway.com/ in front of several IMail servers. Both offer better anti-spam options then imail and can off load the inbound mail load to a different box or in the case of hmailserver on the same box. But leave Imail to do the POP3 and web interface.
