If you don't mind spending some time to setup I would recommend either IMGate or Maia Mailguard. Both are open source and they can both be setup on Linux, I use SUSE, which makes the base OS install painless.
AV scanning is configurable with multiple scanners and Maia has an extremely easy to use interface with a great degree of flexibility for AV and Anti-Spam options. I have been using Maia with some setting from the IMGate community for about a year now and this system flat out Rocks!
