Currently the list server does not recognize the difference and just places the trailer at the end of the message. In an HTML based message you don't see the text as it is placed in the wrong location. A recent change in IMail's primary trailer is to add the domain trailer as a MIME part rather than attempt to parse and insert the text into the message. This is the route we will take with the list server at some point.
