Currently the list server does not recognize the difference and just places
the trailer at the end of the message. In an HTML based message you don't
see the text as it is placed in the wrong location. A recent change in
IMail's primary trailer is to add the domain trailer as a MIME part rather
than attempt to parse and insert the text into the message. This is the
route we will take with the list server at some point.

As opposed to plain text? Yes. I wondered if that might be it, although it
seems like a silly limitation.

Are the messages you are looking at HTML messages?

Subject: [IMail Forum] footer on lists

Hi All,

I was wondering if this is a known bug or if I'm doing something wrong.
With 2006.23, footers are not being attached to our mailing lists. When I
looked at the source of the messages, I can see it there, but the footer
doesn't show up with viewed normally.

Thanks,

Ben
