I did find this in the logs:

11:23 15:36 SMTPD(63ed01a500000125) [65.74.132.77] Max Invalid RCPTs Exceeded

This has never been an issue before – should I just up the limit in the SMTP services settings from 20 to something higher until it plays nice? What the recommended settings for dictionary attack? Is there a way to disable it?

IMGate's default setting is to disco if postfix give 2 5xx rejects in one SMTP session, has been for years.

I consider any session with 20 5xx rejects to be unquestionably invalid.

Last time I looked, 98%+ of mail is single recipient per SMTP session.
