I can see the IP Imail receives it from but it seems to change each time.

I wouldn't mind upgrading so much if I had confidence that 8.22 is stable.

First can you upgrade to at least 8.22?
My guess is someone has a list with a bunch of these addresses in them.
However 7.15 is not secure. Can you see what the originating IP address is
and perhaps block it either with Imail or your firewall.

I'm running an old version: 7.15. Yes, there are a couple website that
generate email thru my box, and yes I do have clients that have mailing
lists, but I generally discourage them from sending their bulk through my
Imail server. I've been blacklisted too many times and actually had to cut
off one client.

Troy
What version of Imail are you on?
Do you have web sites that generate mail and use Imail for delivery?
Do you have users with mailing lists?
John

Subject: [IMail Forum] Italian Spam thru mail server
Over the past few weeks I've been getting sporadic hits of Italian emails
going thru my mail server. None of it appears to be addressed to any of my
clients but its from some Italian address to a bunch of addresses, mostly
Italian. I've run tests against my server and I'm not an open relay. I've
been able to redirect the spam by IMail rules but this is tedious and I'm
worried I'll get listed.

In checking the logs I found the following line of text:
Infobot message to <> not sent, precedence bulk

Does this mean I've been hacked? Has anyone seen this before?

Please advise.
