Len, I am only using this DNS as a local caching server, forwarding to my ISP when needed. This box will not see queries from outside our LAN.

If you accept to run MS DNS as Internet-facing DNS (only a tiny, shrinking minority does), probably the biggest problem is on a busy mail server where the DNS cache can get to 150+ MB pretty easily. Another problem is the security settings are pretty limited, so you will very probably need help from firewall.
