It's not a good idea to be defraging while running a VSS-based backup
(which most new server backup products are doing). It can corrupt the
backups or cause them to error. I schedule mine to run during a three
hour stretch when no backups are running.

Anyone know of a way to do that? The objVolume.Defrag() method does
not seem to take any parameters.
Any other program doing it better?
I have consistently had great luck with Diskeeper and especially the
newest version.
I find that you actually can let it run all the time and it does not
interfere with normal I/O. I know that doesn't sound right (I didn't
buy it myself at first). However, my experience has been that it lives
up to it's claims.
