You can use the IMail Migration Tool found in the professional version of IPlus Info Browser to facilitate this. It will dump all of the pertinent information to a flat file that you can import into AD. It's even free for a single domain. Check it out at:

Reply-To: [email protected] I haven't been able to find anything specific to this subject in the archives, which I'm afraid either proves it is a simpler task than I believe or I can't do a proper search... I have just been given the task of restructuring our network, which means creating a domain with Active Directory support, and since all of the AD users will need email, I would like to move my user info from the current internal database to AD. I have about 2500 users. So, is even this possible? If so, what are the caveats? Does it ease or increase management headaches? Is this even recommended? I don't have a choice on implementing AD, so if anyone can help me not have to manage two large databases of users, I would be very appreciative. Is the converse true? will all e-mail users be AD users?
