WARNING: Long message but may help those with 6.02 problems.
Official Conclusion:
Reinstall.
That was the solution from IPSWITCH as to why my web interface suddenly
stopped sending mail. They thought there may be a problem with directory
permissions although we have not changed them on any accounts. Also want to
point out here that they had a switch back to the original web templates
(hurl) to test things, this did not fix the problem, so Ron's templates were
in no way related to the problem and they are working great again. Thanks
Ron!
When I reinstalled Imail, I used the full 6.02 install not the patch. It
never asked which directory to install to and it proceeded to install on our
E drive. We used to have our IMail program on the C drive but the top
directories and web templates on the E drive. But IMail decided to install
to the E drive so now I have 2 copies of IMail software on my server.
Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, right! If I can get the time and
permission to bring mail down for an hour, I will probably reinstall the
whole thing IMail 6.02 full version from scratch.
If you are wondering where I got this full version 6.02, IPSWITCH pointed me
to their support page and then the current version download page and I
needed a special username/password. Good Luck getting your own!
Lots of Luck to all those suffering, hope this helps!

Subject: [IMail Forum] Web Mail Failure to Send
On hold with IPSwitch as I send but wanted to see if the Forum could beat
their response time:
All mail is working accept Web Mail Sending. I can send through POP clients
and read messages on the web, but when I send through the web, the screen
returns
Error sending message.
failed
Any ideas? Nothing in the logs of any help either.
Thanks,
