Hi-
Just a couple of basic troubleshooting steps I usually use when I have
no idea what is wrong.
1) Check DNS entries, often this is where things get fouled up
especially with a new domain. Use Nslookup and verify your MX records.
2) Telnet to port 25 of your mail server. Use the DNS name to again
make sure your mail server resolves correctly. Provided IMail responds
to the Telnet session, then simulate an SMTP session and see if the
message is received. If it is not received then you have a chance to
see the error message and you know it is IMail causing a problem.
I know this is very general, but I find most of the time one of these
steps helps lead me in the right direction. Plus it only takes a couple
of minutes to verify all these critical steps are functioning. Beyond
this you are left with perusing the log files and double checking your
config settings. I hope you get it figured out!
