Well, generally, we would want "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" to be a separate mailbox
from "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", should we wind up hosting both these domains.
Although I think I see why you might want mailboxes to be common to all your
domains, it's not the usual configuration. I suppose you could point all the
domains to one top-level directory, but this is known to cause more problems
than it's worth. How 'bout creating aliases in subsidiary domains which
point to the users (of the same name?) in their primary domain? This leaves
the option open to break the links in the future. Yeah, it's more setup at
the first, but really more versatile in the long run, unless I totally
misunderstand your question...

Subject: [IMail Forum] Multiple Domains question
Hi all,
I'm getting ready to move from our test server to go live with our IMail
server, and ran into one question. Our mail server will support
multiple domains, and I'm not quite sure how IMail handles this. Our
past mail servers have put all mail for all domains into a single
mailbox (or set of mailboxes depending on how things are configured) all
available at a single mail server address (ms1.wcn.net in our case.)
Looking at the structure of the IMail domains, it looks like this is not
the case here. Am I correct in assuming that I would have to have each
user configure a separate mailbox for each domain (i.e. ms1.wcn.net,
ms1.nderdog.com, ms1.otherdomain.com?) Any information would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you in advance,
Jeff Underwood
