yes.

yes, spamming pb's are from sending mail from the mail client (or SMTP 
server) to an SMTP server (eg, Imail).  While POP3 is only for reading 
mail, and that can be read from any ip address, your block or compuserve's.

So the above split, send-SMTP-to-Compuserve plus read-POP3-from-Imail will 
protect you (dumping the pb on compuserve).

yes, "SMTP Security" setting apply only to SMTP traffic.  Web Messaging is 
HTTP for "sending / entering" to Imail, and then Imail SMTP's to the 
destination SMTP server.
