We have the same problems with our Linux machine gw03.isi-software.com
wich has ablolutly correct settings ( I think )
If I telnet on this machine, I get the same responses.

isi-software.com doesn't have a reverse record (it doesn't have a forward,
either, vbg !) but who cares? isi-software.com isn't the MX doing the
sening, ns.isi-software.com is the sending MX to be reverse up ge-looked.
The reverse for his primary MX, ns.isi-software.com, refers to
www.isi-software.com.
This may not be fatal, but it's not kosher.
I would recommend that of all DNS records, the mail server's forward and
reverse, at the very minimum, should be delegated correctly and the host
names in sync.
