Here's a script I have at run every night.
c:
cd \imail
makelist |findstr /v root >lists\everybody\users.lst

I pipe it through findstr to remove root from the list.

This information is found in knowledgebase article:
http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19990608-DM03.htm

Here's an excerpt:
You can also use the utility Makelist.zip. Get it from:
http://www.ipswitch.com/Products/IMail_Server/utilities.html#Helper
Unzip to your \imail directory.

Run IMail List Server. Create a list named everybody.
(In IMail 6.0 see IMail Administrator | localhost | your_domain | Lists
instead.)
Then, at a dos prompt in the \imail directory do this command:

makelist > c:\imail\lists\everybody\users.lst

Or, you can name a specific domain on your server:

makelist my_domain.net > c:\imail\lists\everybody\users.lst;

This should pipe the output of makelist (all your user's addresses) into the
address list for the everybody mail list. If your paths should be different
then these, make the necessary changes.

You can then send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Subject: [IMail Forum] Simple way to send messages to all current
mailboxes in a domain

I am looking for a way to set up a no maintenance broadcast type message for
all users in a certain domain. I have experimented with making a program
alias with mailall.exe. If it is a list that needs to be set up, then how
do I automatically add new subscribers to the list, and remove deleted
records??

I am probably missing the obvious, but I only get a short time to spend on
this each day between all of my other functions.

Thanks in Advance for your help, and these lists are invaluable.

(If anyone is using Rodopi for billing software, I have made the scripts to
have it create and update the Imail accounts for the dial up domains.) I
can share this is anyone is interested.
