IMail has the HTML source for those images hard-coded, so they would need to
make changes in order for the pictures to show up (you can set your
preferences so that text attachments will show up in the message, rather
than as a link; they could do something like that for pictures).
If you really needed to do it, it might be possible to use JavaScript to
muck around with the HTML... but it wouldn't be a fun job.
