I don't think I've seen this suggestion here, so here goes:

Change your program association defaults for  VB Script files (under
View|folder Options, File Types tab) from Open to Edit.  That way, instead
of executing the script, it'll open in a notepad window.  If you have a
script you want to execute, you can right click and open.

This should stop some of the clueless from causing problems when they
double-click on attachments they don't understand.

You might also check if you have .js and .jse, as well as .wsh files.  These
are all scripts that default to execute on a double-click.
