Try sending mail to the new account.  In some cases the user directory isn't created until the first e-mail is received and this causes login problems.  I think that most folks send a welcome message after creating accounts to get this done.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Imail 6.03 & MS SQL 7.0

We are trying to setup Imail 6.03 using MS Sql 7.0 as an external database.  We did install Mike Nice's dll.

We did create the dbf using the fields specified, and we set it up in the order specified.

When you add an user it shows up in the sql database, all the info looks correct including the password.

But when you try to log on to check your mail it gets rejected.  Saying that the user or password is not correct.

We check spellings etc. but can not see what we did wrong.

Any suggestions on how to solve this?

Thanks
