Thanks Scott,
I have tried a few initial tests using two clients (NS and Outlook) and
Imail server using a header field of approx. 200 bytes (that field is in
addition to the standard headers).  It didn't seems to choke on either the
clients or the server.  I plan to do more extensive testing on larger
fields, but for now it seems that for my purposes, it will work.
