Thanks for the help. I believe this is a client problem, but I can't get rid
of Outlook 97, it's too widely used here. Upgrading to OL 2000 might clear
it up, but it looks like there's a move to switch to Exchange Server anyway.
(Oh boy, more Microsoft problems!) Scott - you said "whoever split the line
at the "<" can be yelled at, and expected to fix the problem." My experience
with software tells me that no one IS going to fix it. Ipswitch can't tell
me why their server chokes when others don't, and Microsoft just posts
work-arounds and goes on to the next release of Outlook. That's pretty
typical. Thanks again.
