I have tried using Norton AV Internet Mail Gateway. It does not detect files
that were attached by a browser (Webmail).

I looked at Mailwall and it was quite capable for virus and spam but had
little reporting functionality.

I decided upon Email Essentials as it does AV, anti-spam, bulkmail, can
reschedule mail for later delivery, limits files by type, size, content,
even will check if the content matches the extension. It also creates usage
reports inbound and outbound by user and/or domain. And that is just the
quick overview.

Watch out with AntiVirus gateways for mail-servers !!!!

Most of the products I know (and tested) don't allow any settings for
AntiSpam !

So you can add filters and rules as much you like to your "real
smtp-server": the AntiVirus goes "inbetween", becoming your SMTP-server
(viewed form the outside: the internet) so none of the AntiSpam measures in
your Mail-server-soft will be used anymore....

If someone knows an AntiVirus-gateway for SMTP wich offers decent
AntiSPam-settings: please share your knowledge...
