Is the working Win2K on an Active Directory based domain?
Is the non-working Win2K on an A-d domain?

I have the same problem here as well. Outlook 2000 or Outlook Express both
crash when configured as Internet only and doing an LDAP lookup to IMail.

Outlook does not crash when configured as Corporate. But, it does not show
names in that configuration only email addresses.

It is not only an Outlook problem, I install Eudora 4.x and it's LDAP lookup
crashes to IMail.

If you are A-D based, have your 2K clients use an A-D lookup from Outlook
Express. Which is not an acceptable thing for my company.

We have no trouble with NT or 98 clients.

I am using the Internet only setup of Outlook 2000 on Win2K pro and it works
for me.

Folks,

We are rolling out Win2K to our desktops and notebooks.we have noticed the
following repeatable problem. When Outlook 2000 attempts to query the
Ipswitch LDAP server, Outlook throws an error and exits. Prior to installing
Outlook 2000, Outlook Express works just fine. Installing the Office 2K SR1
doesn't fix the problem either. Right now, every single computer in our
company with Win2K pro and Outlook 2000 installed crashes during an LDAP
query to the Ipswitch Server. Other LDAP queries to public LDAP servers work
just fine.

Since my office is only around the corner from you I would be happy to stop
by and show you what is going on.
