I have ran that configuration. The best way is this:
Set IEG to receive on port 25 on the domain MX IP address.
Set IEG to send to port 26 on the IMail machine's IP address.
Configure IMail to listen on Port 26.

Configure IMail to send all mail to gateway and specify the IEG machine.
That's it. The reason I use port 26 on the IMail machine is to make certain
that users (or others) do not decide to send directly to that machine.
See my other reply for why IEG is not fully protecting you.
In addition, if you wish to block SPAM or relay traffic, it still will have
to travel to the IMail machine as IEG does not perform that function. Unless
you are married to IEG take a look at one of these. They are much better
sitting in front of an SMTP server than IEG.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Norton AntiVirus Gateway
We are trying to get Norton AntiVirus Email Gateway working and we are
having some trouble.
First of all were are running Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 with
IMail 6.03.
We are installing Norton AntiVirus Gateway on a separate server from the
mail server.
Is anyone using this same type of installation, if so can you give me any
suggestions on how to make it work. I have been messing with this for
several days and no luck. The best that it seems to do is process incoming
mail only but not the outgoing. I also don't think it is catching any
viruses. None are being reported as being quarantined, but previously I was
catching 4 to twelve a week.
Thanks
Dennis
