There ought to be a switch somewhere, probably in MySQL but perhaps in
the Unix configuration (don't ask ME for help finding it! <vbg> ), to
disable or change the character used for escapes, so the backslash could
be used. How 'bout UNC notation (forward slashes) rather than a drive
letter (backslashes)? Just a thought or two...
