Hi, it's friday,
we have sent this message to IMAL support but we've discovered that they
will answer only during working days, and for us this is a disaster.....

We have a loop happening on our mailserver that keeps sending mail to a
postmaster that is over quota, and thus keeps sending it back ans so
forth....

Btw, here 's the problem....
It would be wonderful if someone, maybe that has suffered the same problem
in the past, could help us....

thanxxxxxx

Product: IMail Server 4.07
OS: Windows NT Server 4.0

Problem:

This is the second time that we have the same problem.
That is:
an user sends a request to join a mailing list, sending a message at
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with wrong instructions.
The mail (list) server sends back the message to the userhis account is
unavailable so the message gets sent to the postmaster of that site...
The postmaster (superonline.com, a turkishportal/ site) is overquota, so
the postmaster sends a notification to our mail server, and this gets
pingpong-ed back and forth over and over....

The first time, a few months ago, we had to stop our mailserv (being
cybercore.com, the main one) for a whole day in order to stop the loop.
This time we did it again but it didn't worked....
It seems that the angelicabella listserv (both times it happened to it) is
still trying to send the error message to the [EMAIL PROTECTED],
that is unavailbla via mail, icq, telephone or whatever, and still
continues to be over quota and send back the message to us..
The loop is endless and it creates hundreds of megs of useless and damaging
traffic each day...
We have kill filed that address, but nothing, as you can see from a log
from the spooler, our mailserver is still sending messages, and obviously
keeps getting them back!!!
What should we do to stop this loop,
also considering that this situation is already 4 days in the happening???

thanxxx
follows the log
Helena
