The client will use the ETRN command to retrieve email (provided he has a
static IP address for his Exchange server). Exchange 5.0 SP2 and later
supports the ETRN command. You simply add an MX record in the DNS pointing
to your IMail server, and an entry in the "hosts" file of your IMail server
associating the clients IP address with his domain name. IMail will check
the hosts file before it does a DNS lookup, so it will queue all email for
this client's domain until his server comes online and issues the ETRN.
That's all there is to it.
If the client does NOT have a static IP address, you'll need to use a 3rd
party program like "AutoDialer" installed on the Exchange server to retrieve
the mail via POP and then "convert" it back to SMTP.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Mail Hosting for a customer
I have a customer that handles internal mail with Exchange, and wants me to
host his domain customer.com.
He want's Imail to hold all of the mail for the users at customer.com until
his exchange server calls my Imail box every three hours, and then retrieve
all of the mail, to be distributed by the exchange server. Where do I look
in the KB for hints on how to set this up. The Exchange server will issue a
finger command to login to the imail box.
Hosts, aliases, etc. any info would be greatly appreciated.
Keep up the good work, I have been able to find and fix a couple of
problems, just following the threads posted here.
