Could even be the delivery process (smtp32.exe). This is not a service, so
it cannot be 'stopped', except with 'kill.exe' from NT Resource kit. You
might stop all IMail Services then see if you can delete the file. Restart
the computer and you should be able to delete the file (last resort!).
I'd try the View Queue, selecting that message, then click Remove button. Of
course this is assuming it is one of the email message files (Q*.* or D*.*
file), you are trying to delete. If it is not, best you tell us what file
you are having trouble deleting! Even if it is a Q/D file, it may be to your
advantage to look the file over before deleting (is the message to an Alias?
Is that Alias OK?). Maybe a move (or copy) of the file, would be the best
choice (out of the \spool dir) before deleting.
