Yes, this is a known problem.  Check out 
http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-20000103-DM01.htm in the Knowledge Base.  It didn't 
work for me, but the problem fixed itself on its own (and then came back).  IMail 
doesn't handle the dates properly, and sometimes sends the date as the year 100.

Has anyone run across this?

When using the webmail to send messages, we have a few clients complaining
because the date is incorrect. The two who sent me their email client both
use Netscape (Mac) to read mail:

What's up with that?
