The problem is that the web messaging sets the year to "100" when it connects to the
IMail SMTP server to send the message. Some clients will know that because of Y2K
problems some computers will use the year 100 instead of the year 2000, so they will
display it properly. Other E-mail clients don't know that 100 = 2000 (which isn't
their fault), and will display it as 100 (or in some other odd way).

It shouldn't. Nor should the directory. It's a bug, plain and simple, with a few
suggested workarounds.
